Your water. Your temperature.
CUCKOO 1.7L Electric Kettle · CK-C170TW
From your first cup of tea to an afternoon coffee, make hot water part of an easier routine. Select the temperature in 5°C steps, keep water warm for up to 12 hours, and enjoy a clean white design with a 304 stainless steel interior.

SET THE TEMPERATURE
More choice than simply boiling.
Heat water to your preferred setting from 40°C to 100°C, adjustable in 5°C steps. For a full boil, press Heat in standby mode to heat to 100°C.
The handle-mounted controls bring the temperature display and adjustment buttons together, so settings are easy to see and select.
Set temperatures are not a guarantee of exact water temperature; the manual notes that actual temperature may vary with the amount of water.

READY FOR ANOTHER CUP
Keep warmth in your routine.
Choose a warming temperature from 40°C to 90°C and maintain it for up to 12 hours after the water reaches the setting.
Select the temperature in standby, then hold Warm for three seconds within the setting window. The kettle returns to standby when the warming period finishes.
Keep Warm requires mains power. If you choose a temperature below the current water temperature, the water needs time to cool. In warming mode, the display shows the set temperature once warming begins.

MADE FOR EVERYDAY CARE
304 stainless steel. A clean interior.
The interior is made from 304 stainless steel, with a seamless construction that makes the inside easier to clean.
The double-layer body helps reduce heat transfer to the outside. Use the handle when lifting and pouring, and take care around the hot lid, spout and steam.
Mineral deposits can still form. Descale at least monthly, following the vinegar or citric acid method in the user manual.

LIFT. POUR. PLACE BACK.
Practical details, thoughtfully placed.
A 1.7L maximum capacity gives you room for several cups, while the 360° base lets you place the kettle back from different directions.
Lift the kettle off its base to fill or pour. Keep the water between the internal 0.5L minimum and 1.7L maximum marks, close the lid before heating, and keep the base connector dry.
Heating stops automatically and the kettle returns to standby when the selected temperature is reached.
Use water only. Prepare tea, coffee or food separately in a suitable cup or container.

SIMPLE TO START. EASY TO CARE FOR.
A few habits for everyday use.
Before your first cup
Follow the manual’s first-use cleaning instructions for the stainless steel interior. Boil water a couple of times and discard it before drinking.
Keep the base dry
Unplug and allow the kettle to cool before cleaning. Wipe the outside with a soft cloth. Do not immerse the kettle or base, and keep water away from electrical parts.

GOOD TO KNOW
Your questions, answered.
What is the difference between Heating and Warming?
Heating takes water to a selected temperature from 40°C to 100°C and then returns to standby. Warming maintains a setting from 40°C to 90°C for up to 12 hours after the water reaches that setting. Both use 5°C adjustment steps.
Does selecting 40°C boil the water first?
Selecting a lower heating or warming temperature does not mean the water is boiled first. To boil water, use Heating mode at 100°C.
Can it keep water warm without being plugged in?
The up-to-12-hour keep-warm function requires the kettle to be connected to its powered base. It is not a claim that water stays at the selected temperature for 12 hours without electricity.
What happens if I lift the kettle during warming?
The manual’s memory feature allows warming to continue if the kettle is returned to its base within three minutes. Check the display and mode after replacing it.
Does the display always show the actual water temperature?
No. In standby, the display shows the current water temperature. During warming, it can show the selected setting, including while hotter water cools towards it. Do not use the display alone to judge whether water is safe to touch or drink.
Can I put tea, coffee or milk inside?
No. The kettle is for water only. Do not heat milk, coffee, tea or food inside it. Prepare drinks and food separately.
How much water should I add?
Fill between the internal 0.5L minimum and 1.7L maximum marks. Remove the kettle from its base before filling, and do not overfill.
How do I remove mineral deposits?
Descale at least once a month using the vinegar or citric acid procedure in the manual. Rinse thoroughly and follow the complete instructions before using the kettle again.
Why are there marks inside, and how should I clean them?
Minerals in water can leave scale deposits inside the kettle. The manual recommends descaling at least monthly with vinegar or citric acid, followed by thorough rinsing and a clean-water boil.
For the vinegar method, fill to the 1.7L mark and heat the water. Once heating is complete, add at least 10mL of vinegar and leave overnight. Empty and thoroughly rinse the interior, then boil clean water, discard it and rinse again. Repeat if deposits remain.
Baking soda is mentioned in the manual’s first-use cleaning procedure; it is not the recommended routine descaling method. Use the manual’s vinegar or citric acid procedure rather than lemon juice, and keep water away from the base and electrical parts.
