The processing time for orders placed on cuckooaustralia.com.au takes up to 3 business days. Then depending on where you live, your product may take a longer or shorter period of time to be delivered.
If your product has not arrived after 10 business days of placing your initial order, please contact our customer support team by emailing us (info@cuckooaustralia.com.au) for order updates and more information regarding your shipment.

Where can I shop for CUCKOO products in person?
CUCKOO products can be found at various retail locations across Australia, including Costco, Harvey Norman, and Bing Lee, as well as many Asian and appliance stores. Since not all CUCKOO products are available at every location, we recommend calling ahead or visiting the retailer's website to check for availability.
For customers in New South Wales, local pickup is available at our Silverwater warehouse. During checkout, please select the pickup option and choose your preferred date and time for collecting your order.
Which methods of payment do you accept?
We currently accept most major credit cards including American Express, MasterCard, and Visa, along with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay.
Returns & Refunds
What is the return policy for CUCKOO products?
When shopping on the CUCKOO official website, please be aware of our return policy to ensure a smooth purchase experience. Returns are only accepted for items that are found to be faulty upon receipt. Unfortunately, we do not accommodate returns for products if you change your mind after making your purchase.
Moreover, once a product has been opened and used, it cannot be returned for any reason related to a change of mind. Therefore, we encourage you to review your selections carefully before completing your order.
If you happen to receive a product that is damaged, defective, or was incorrectly shipped, we ask that you reach out to our Customer Service Centre within 30 days of receiving your order. Our team will assist you in initiating the return process and resolving any issues you may have with the merchandise. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation regarding our return policy.
Please note: if the product box has been opened, a 15% restocking fee will be automatically deducted from your refund.
We can only process returns and refunds for orders placed on cuckooaustralia.com.au. If you purchased your CUCKOO product from a retailer, you will need to refer to their return policy.
To confirm whether your item is returnable and exchangeable, check your invoice or order confirmation email for date of purchase. Once confirmed, send us an email to begin the return process.
Do I need a receipt or proof of purchase to file a warranty claim?
Some form of proof of purchase is always necessary while filing a warranty claim. Examples of valid proof of purchase include store receipts, email order confirmation, or any other genuine document that shows the date of purchase and the location of purchase.
I purchased a unit from one of your retailers, can I return it to CUCKOO for an exchange or refund?
If you're unsatisfied with your product in any way, be sure to email customer support at info@cuckooaustralia.com.au before returning to see if our product experts can help!
However, unfortunately we do not process returns nor exchanges for items that are purchased through authorized sellers. In order to process an exchange or receive a refund for the item, please return to the retailer you purchased your unit from.
My product arrived broken or damaged, what should I do?
All CUCKOO products come with a 1-year warranty period during which you can exchange for the same item or return for a refund.
Our customer support team will be happy to assist in processing your warranty claim and answering any additional warranty questions you may have. If troubleshooting fails to fix the problem, we can replace the item or defective part. We do require a valid proof of purchase as well as your full name, shipping address, telephone number, and the unit's model number.

Rice Cookers
What is turbo mode?
Our quick and convenient turbo mode … your rice is guaranteed to cook up to 50% faster by shortening soaking and steaming phases.
What does automatic steam release mean?
Automatic steam release removes the need to manually flip a pressure weight—our cooker safely releases steam at the end of or during the final minutes of the cycle.
What is GABA rice?
Germinated brown rice rich in gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). Soak for 16 hours, then the GABA function soaks at ~104°F for 2–3 hours before cooking for sweeter, softer results.
What is Fuzzy Logic technology?
Our Smart Algorithm senses and controls temperature through preheat → soak → boil/cook (auto-adjust) → final heat surge → keep-warm for perfect texture.
What is a rice measuring cup?
A rice cup is 180 ml (smaller than a 240 ml US cup). Manuals use rice-cup measurements for guides.
Do I need to rinse the rice?
Yes—rinsing removes surface starch to prevent clumping/gumminess. Use cool water (not warm).
Why is my inner pot peeling?
Likely due to metal/stainless utensils. Use wood, heat-safe plastic/rubber, or the provided spatula.
How does the preset timer work?
Place ingredients up to 13 or 24 hours in advance (model-dependent). When the timer elapses, cooking begins automatically.
What size rice cooker should I purchase?
- 3-Cup (Uncooked): individuals/couples
- 6-Cup: small families (2–4)
- 10-Cup: larger families (6+) or entertaining
How will I know when my rice is finished?
The cooker auto-switches to keep-warm; some models have a voice guide announcement.
Rice too moist/soggy or too dry/hard—how to fix?
Too dry: add ½–1 rice cup water, stir, run the function again; check and repeat if needed.
Too moist: stir to release moisture, keep on warm 10–30 min, stirring periodically.
Any accessories I might need?
Units include inner pot, rice cup, spatula. Third-party accessories are not recommended.
How long does 1 cup of white rice take?
About 25 minutes on standard models (varies by grain, amount, and model).
Water bubbling up and spewing from lid/vent.
- Verify accurate water-to-rice ratios (see manual).
- Rinse rice thoroughly to reduce starch.
- Optionally add a thin layer of oil/spray before cooking.
Traditional heating plate vs. induction?
Traditional: heat from bottom plate. Induction: 360° heating for faster, more even results and reduced sticking; premium inner pot with even distribution and retention.
Can I put the inner pot in the freezer/refrigerator?
Avoid rapid temperature changes. Room-temp pot in fridge is okay (≤24 hours). Avoid freezer right after cooking.
Can I put the inner pot on a stovetop or in an oven?
No. Inner pots are only for the cooker base; stovetop/oven can warp/damage them.
How does the auto-clean function work?
Add ~2 cups of water to the inner pot, run Auto-Clean. Steam cleans inner pot, inner lid, steam cap.
How long can I keep rice on keep-warm?
Do not exceed 12 hours.
How do I change the language of my voice guide?
- Standby mode → press MODE 11 times to reach Voice Guide.
- “VOICE” lights; display “1” = Korean (default).
- Use “>” to cycle: 1 Korean, 2 English, 3 Chinese.
- Press SET to confirm.
Is my inner pot dishwasher safe?
Traditional coated pots are not dishwasher-safe (risk of coating damage).
How often should I replace the inner pot?
Every 2–3 years (earlier if scratched). Handle gently to extend lifespan.
Multi-Cookers
What utensils can I use?
Wood, heat-safe plastic/rubber, or the provided spatula. Avoid metal/stainless.
How does the auto-clean function work?
Add ~2 cups water and run Auto-Clean to steam-clean inner parts.

Freezer/refrigerator use?
Avoid rapid temperature changes; ≤24 hours in fridge from room temp is okay.
Stovetop or oven?
No—use only with the cooker base.
Change voice guide language?
Same process as Rice Cookers (MODE ×11 → > to select → SET).
Is the inner pot dishwasher safe?
Generally no for coated pots. Exception: CMC-ZSN601F stainless steel inner pot is dishwasher safe.
Bread Makers
How does a bread maker work?
It mixes, kneads, rises, and bakes—managing temperatures for rise and your chosen crust color.
Do I have to bake in the bread maker?
No. Use the dough function, remove, shape, rise, and bake in your oven if you prefer.
Can I use all-purpose flour?
Yes, but it rises slower/less than bread flour; better for low-rise goods (cakes, muffins, cookies).
My loaf didn’t turn out right.
Refer to your manual’s Troubleshooting section for specific causes/solutions.
First-use odor/smoke—normal?
Light odor/smoke on first use can occur. Run a full empty bake cycle and repeat until gone.
Can I make baguettes/artisan breads?
Yes—remove after rising, shape, proof in a warm draft-free place, bake in oven.
Dough sticks to the pan—what to do?
Spray nonstick on pan and paddle before mixing. If already stuck, rub softened butter on the paddle and mix 1–2 more minutes.
Ingredient order?
Liquids → fats → dry ingredients → yeast (last).
Types of yeast?
Active-dry: add directly; slower rise; refrigerate after opening. Instant: shelf-stable, quick rise; add directly.
Error codes?

Can I remove the paddle?
Yes—recommended after every use. If stuck, soak the pan ~1 hour and clean paddle in-pan.
Add-ins stick in the fruit & nut dispenser.
Toss sticky add-ins (e.g., raisins) in a light flour coating before adding to the dispenser.
CUCKOO FAQ — Air Purifiers / Water Purifiers / Customer Service
Air Purifiers
Should I run my air purifier all the time?
For fully purified air, we recommend running the purifier as much as possible. On average, our purifiers replace the room’s air twice per hour.
Can I use my purifier in another country?
CUCKOO’s air purifiers are intended to be used only in the country of purchase due to local regulations.
What are True HEPA filters?
True HEPA traps 99.97% of 0.3-micron particles (MPPS). For reference:
- Dust Mite Debris: 0.5–50 μm
- Household Dust: 0.05–100 μm
- Human Hair: 70–100 μm
- Plant Spores: 6–100 μm
- Smoke: 0.01–1 μm
What does the UV-C light do?
On select models, UV-C helps remove germs and bacteria on filters to extend filter lifespan.
Can I open my windows while the purifier is in use?
Yes, but efficiency is reduced since outside air continues to enter the room.
Where should I place my purifier?
Avoid corners/behind TVs (reduces airflow). Place ~3–5 ft off the ground; avoid high-humidity areas; keep ~5 ft from large electronics.
How often should I replace filters?
Average lifespan is 3–6 months (~2,200 hours) with regular use. Some models include a filter change indicator.
How can I remove wildfire smoke smell/particles?
Run on the highest mode for ~1 hour. HEPA removes particulates; carbon filters help absorb odors.
What is sleep mode?
Dims lights and lowers fan speed for quiet purification while you sleep.
What is auto mode?
With a real-time sensor, fan speed adjusts automatically based on detected air quality until it reaches “Excellent.”
Can I recycle used air filters?
No. Seal used filters in a plastic bag and dispose of in an outdoor trash bin.
How should I store unused replacement filters?
Store in a dry room at moderate temperature. If a new filter is opened early, keep it sealed in a plastic bag.
How does the filter change indicator work & reset?
The red light blinks when filters need changing.
Reset: Press and hold the Filter button for 7 seconds to reset the filter replacement alert.
Water Purifiers
How many bottles/cans does a purifier save per year?
On average, using your water purifier regularly instead of buying bottled/canned drinks saves ~4,000 ounces of plastic per year.
Reverse Osmosis vs. Nano Positive?
Reverse Osmosis: 4-stage — sediment (rust/particles), pre-carbon (heavy metals/odors/chlorine/VOCs), RO (lead/chromium/fluoride/microbes), mineralizer (adds electrolytes/calcium/potassium; alkaline pH).
Nano Positive: 3-stage — pre-carbon (heavy metals/odors/chlorine/VOCs), mineralizer (adds electrolytes/calcium/potassium), Nano+ (removes heavy metals/viruses/bacteria).
Why does my water taste/odor bad?
Drain and clean the tank; for tankless, run water ~10 minutes. Filters may need replacing.
Why are there floating substances in my water?
Filters likely need replacement.
